A continuación, puedes ver los varios puntos del proceso de trabajo y la ilustración. El primero es la idea primera que hice, pero no definitiva. El diseño fue modificado para dar lugar a la versión definitiva. EL acabado es todo digital: dibujo de líneas con Ps (Photoshop), entintado con CSP (Clip Studio Paint) y grises definitivos también con Ps.

I still have some illustrations of Bug Hunts to show you. I can't show all I did for this book, but about some I can. This time I show unpublished work. They are concept arts of one of the illustrations, but any of them are the definitive design. The design of this bug changed enough in appearance, although the scene didn´t change. I hope you like them, althoug if yoy want to see the definitive illustration you have to take a look at the book.

Todavía quedan bastantes ilustraciones que hice para el libro de Bug Hunts, para mostrar. No serán todas las que fueron (porque no las puedo enseñar todas) pero sí algunas. En esta ocasión no es una de las ilustraciones que se han publicado en el libro, lo que os muestro. Son los diseños o concept arts de una de las ilustraciones, bocetos que hice para estudiar cual era la mejor opción para el diseño del bicho definitivo.

Heme aquí con más trabajitos. Esta vez, igual que en el post anterior con más ilustraciones realizadas para OSPREY Publishing (o más bien OSPREY Adventures). Estas dos ilustraciones, al igual que algún material en WIP subido a este blog hace tiempo, pertenecen a un libro de la serie Dark Osprey, llamado "Bug Hunts: Surviving and Combating the Alien Menace". Este libro lleva ya bastante tiempo a la venta en la web oficial de OSPREY. Así que como veis el trabajo ya tiene su tiempo. He hecho muchas cositas más desde que acabé el de Bug Hunts, entre ellas dos libros más para Osprey con todas las ilustraciones interiores de mi puño y trazo (para OSPREY DARK y para OSPREY Games).
En la imagen a continuación podéis ver la ilustración en varios puntos del proceso de trabajo. El primero es la idea original que hice en un cutre papel con un lápiz a la antigua usanza, y todos los demás son en digital: dibujo de líneas con Ps (Photoshop), entintado con CSP (Clip Studio Paint) y grises definitivos también con Ps.

Perhaps some of you remember the illustration I did for a exposition about the comic character Spirou. I did my versión as a tribute of Otomo, too. If you don't remember it, you can see it on this link. Pay attention to this blog (or my Social Networks) because I'm going to do posters of this illustration (of double side) and you can buy it when I receive the prints. Soon.
Seguiré subiendo algunas de las ilustraciones de este trabajo que tengo preparadas para este menester. Pero antes de acabar con esta entada, sólo comentaros que estéis atentos al blog porque estoy preparando prints de una ilustración que os gustó mucho, y algunos de vosotros preguntasteis por póster de ella cuando la mostré en el blog en este enlace. Se trata de la ilustración que hice para la exposición de Spirou en la que también hice un homenaje a Akira de Otomo (para mi representa a un punto de inflexión muy importante en mi vida cuando era una jovenmozuela). Para dar más detalles, más bien estoy esperando que me lleguen los prints, y además serán de doble cara, en una cara tendrán la ilustración de Spirou-Akira (Akirou o Spira), y en la otra habrá otra ilustración diferente. Long time ago I don't write on my blog. This has been a busier year and I haven't got time for other things. I have a lot of work for showing, there are other I can't show.
The artwork I show you below is for a project of DARK OSPREY (serie of OSPREY Adventures). I showed some detail WIPs when I was working on it on my Social networks, and after this a post here.
Now you can see one of illustrations of this project on this post, and I will go showing other illustrations I can share on other next posts. The pictures I've prepared are differents processes of the illustrations.
The project is a book called 'Bug Hunts: Surviving and Combating the Alien Menace'. Long time ago it is on sale on OSPREY website.
And I hope you like the illustration and processes. These were my first digital inked works with Clip Studio. 

The next month, Osprey Adventures will publish another book with my illustrations, 14 illustrations in colour and 26 in black&white. I enjoyed working on it, my first Cthulhu creatures and Roman Empire (and more).

Illustration I did the past year for OSPREY GAMES. This illustration is one the my two works in the book 'Dragon Rampant' for Fantasy Wargaming Rules' collection. My other illustration in this book is 'Ogres versus Hobbits'.
This year I'm also working on project for Osprey Games, and I have just finished the past month my fourth project for Osprey Adventures. I'm happy continuing to work for Osprey. I hope for long time.Some sketches or concept arts I did for an illustration of Dragon Rampant' book, which Osprey Publishing will publish the 20th of this month. The book belongs to 'Fantasy Wargaming Rules' collection of OSPREY GAMES.

I haven't seen the book yet, but I know these skecthes don't appear inside the book. So they are unpublished.

Most characters of these sketches appear in the illustration of goblins vs dwarfs I've done for Dragon Rampant.

Caja abierta 121: OSPREY ADVENTURES. Odin The Viking Allfather

I had forgotten I wanted to show you some concept arts of 'Odin, The viking Allfather' book. I have them prepared since some time, but I had forgotten about them.
I show you only a detail of the concept art I did for the valkyries' illustration (double-page). The full concept art is included in the artwork of 'Odin: The Viking Allfather' book, publishing by OSPREY Publishing , for OSPREY ADVENTURES. This book is inside of the colection 'Myths and Legends' (the number 14). If you want to buy this book, it is for sale on Osprey web.

This concept art appears on the book, but the concept art I did about Jotum Mimir, don't appears inside of book. I'm glad this next sketch didn't include in the book, because (for me too) it's the worst skecth I did. I don't like the result. It's a very comic style, or that is what I think.
IIt made me happy that the editor included the concept arts of Odin and brothers inside the book. I'm satisfied with the result of them.
Below you can see the concept art I did about Mimir, the Jotum who demanded one eye from Odin in exchange for wisdom.

Caja abierta 118: OSPREY ADVENTURES. Odin The Viking Allfather

Hello, 
A long time ago I haven't written on my blog. I've been busy with my work and other things, I haven't found time to write posts on my blog. However, I've been writing on social networks, showing the projects I've been working during these months.
I had some illustrations more to show on this blog of my work on Odin. In particular, I wanted to show you one illustration which has his history. I explained this history to some colleagues a long time ago. It's a trifle, but in that moment It was a drama for me.
I had limited time and a lot of estress, I was working with Photoshop and my PC, and the PC stopped working during my work on this illustration, without warning. The illustration was almost finished in that moment. When I turn on the PC, very very worried because I didn't know what happened, I saw the disaster. The file was corrupted, before I had a lot of layers with elements of the illustration and after it only had one layer. This, at the beginning, wasn't a problem, BUT the half of illustration was in white. THE LOWER HALF. The lower half where there was the most important and difficult part of the illustration, where was almost all the scene. If you see the llustration (below) You can imagine what "SWEET WORDS" crossed my mind in that moment. HA HA HA HA HA (Now, I laugh but then I cried) 
I had to repeat all work of the lower half. I wanted to death, but I couldn't die because I still had a lot of work to do. This was the first of six illustrations I had to do. So I repeated the work, using the top half of the illustration, more fast than the other time because I already had experiencie with this scene. It was the second time I worked it.
Then, I didn't do security copies during the WIP, for that reason I had to repeat a work almost finished (ARRRRGGGG). XDDD 
(I'm going to look for the corrupted file of this illustration to show you after)

I have already worked on four projects for OSPREY (two for Osprey Adventures, one for Dark Osprey and one for Osprey Games). Not all appear on website section of contributors of Osprey if you click on Illustrators>RU-MOR. Here It only appears my two last collaborations with Osprey, one will be on sale in October, and the other in December. But Odin and Sinbad, you have to look for them on Osprey Adventures>Myths and Legends.
In November I will start my fifth project for Osprey (for dark Osprey).  

Below I show you some details of the concept arts I did for this work. Some are included in the book of Odin, others no.

This is Ymir. It is a jotun, or frost giant, from whose body Odin and his brothers created the world. Inside of book there is a full-length concept art of Ymir.

The illustration is the Ragnarok, the great battle between the Aesir and the jotums, between all gods and mythological creatures until ending in an apocalyptic end. 
In the scene there are the battle between Odin and Fenrir, Thor vs Jörmundgander, Valkyries and einherjars vs Jotums, and more combats and creatures.
Otra ilustración perteneciente al trabajo gráfico del libro de "Odin: The Viking Allfather", publicación con el sello de OSPREY ADVENTURES dentro de la colección "Myths and Legends", dentro de la editorial OSPREY Publishing. Es el mismo libro que os enseñé en la entrada anterior. En esta ocasión os enseño una de las ilustraciones interiores (personalmente con la que más contenta estoy). El libro de Odín es el número 14 de esta colección, y lo podéis encontrar a la venta en la web oficial de OSPREY.
La ilustración representa el famoso capítulo de la mitología nórdica del Ragnarok, la gran batalla entre los Æsir y los jotuns, liderada por un lado por Odín cabalgando a Sleipnir  seguido por sus valkírias y sus einherjars, apoyado por Thor y otros dioses; y liderando el otro bando Loki (que no aparece en la ilustración) con todos los jotuns y criaturas mitológicas como Fenrir, Surt, Jörmungandr, etc..etc.. La complicación de la ilustración era representar los diferentes combates cuerpo a cuerpo entre varios de estos personajes de forma clara y distinguible, e integrarlo todo en la misma escena, y que la cámara (o espectador) estuviese situada justo dentro de la batalla.

Another post of a work for OSPREY ADVENTURES of the Editorial OSPREY Publishing. This is the second book with illustrations of mine for this editorial. The book belong to the colection 'Myths and Legends' ', it's the number 14. Its author is Steven S. Long, and the book's title is 'Odin: The Viking Allfather'.
Although the book is about the god Odin of norse mythology, other gods or creatures of this mythology also appear inside the scenes of the illustrations, as the valkyries, Thor, Fenris, Odin's brothers, his horse Sleipnir, Yggdrasil, Mimir, Jörmungandr and others more.

Por fin puedo empezar a enseñaros algunas de las ilustraciones que se incluyen dentro del segundo proyecto en el que he trabajado para OSPREY Publishing, dentro de la línea de OSPREY ADVENTURES. Como el anterior de Simbad que hice, este segundo trabajo también pertenece a la colección de "Myths and Legends", en concreto es el número 14 de la colección. He disfrutado como una enana haciendo las ilustraciones ya que el tema de las mismas es la mitología nórdica. En este caso y como el mismo título del libro dice, es sobre el dios más importante y más conocido de todo ese "Olimpo" nórdico, "Odin: The Viking Allfather".
El libro ha sido escrito por Steven S. Long. Y aparte de incluir varias ilustraciones mías a página completa y una a doble página, también hay varios diseños o concept art hechos por mí de algunos de los personajes que aparecen en las ilustraciones (yo les suelo llamar boceto, equivocadamente a veces). Acompañando a Odín en algunas ilustraciones, podemos ver a sus hermanos Vili y Ve, a Thor, a las Valkyrias, Mimir, los Jotums, la serpiente Jörmungandr, su fiel caballo Sleipnir y su lanza Gungnir, Fenris y otros tantos personajes de la mitología nórdica.

Caja abierta 114: working on Dark Osprey book

Bueno llevo un tiempo desaparecida y concentrada en terminar un proyecto que me ha costado sudores y lágrimas, y horas sin dormir.
He encontrado imposible poder hacer cualquier otra cosa que no sea este proyecto en el último mes, y a día de hoy (para como soy yo trabajando de lenta) me sorprendo de mi misma por haberlo podido completar, y más teniendo que trabajar técnicas o programa que no he usado en la vida. Ha sido un poco tirarse delante de un toro.
Impensable para mí haber hecho lo hecho hoy hace 6 años cuando se me metió la idea de dedicarme a esto en la cabeza, y más teniendo en cuenta varios hándicaps.

Bueno, el caso es que he superado la prueba, y por lo que me han dicho con creces. Así que estoy contenta de ello.
Y para celebrarlo os subo algunas imágenes de WIPs de las distintas ilustraciones que he hecho.
Han sido 38 ilustraciones en total, muchas en grises y otras en color. El trabajo es para Dark Osprey. Y nada más, ahora a eperar que se publique para ver que tal queda todo.

Las imágenes que véis a continuación son las que he ido subiendo a mi instagram (@ru_mor) durante mi confinamiento con mi cutremóvil.  Y son sólo pequeñas partes de la ilustración, en ningún caso se ve la ilustración completa (más que nada porque no puedo enseñarlas, aún).

 

Suelo usar el instagram para subir WIPs de lo que hago.
Y Ahora a otra cosa mariposa, un día o dos para reubicarme y encontrarme como persona de nuevo, y a seguir currando en los siguientes encargos (desentumeciendo los dedos y las lancetas XDDD)

Caja abierta 113: Libro SIMBAD de OSPREY. Dedicatorias

Como no tengo tiempo para poderle dedicar a subir un entrada de los trabajos en los que ando perdida (unos porque aún no los puedo enseñar, otros porque requieren de una preparación que no puedo hacer), sigo con la tanda de dedicatorias que he hecho últimamente, con o menos medios.

Las siguientes dedicatorias las hice para unos buenos amigos que adquirieron el libro de "Sinbad The Sailor" que he ilustrado para de la editorial OSPREY Adventures (que por cierto en Mayo saldrá el de Odín que también tiene mis ilustraciones ^_^). Que menos que unos dibujitos y dedicatorias para agradecer que me apoyen y me animen. (el texto de las dedicatorias lo he ocultado tras mi logo, esas palabras quedarán entre ellos y yo).

Tuve algunos problemillas con las incompatibilidades entre las tintas que usé. Pero están hechos con mucho cariño. Gracias a todos ellos por querer un libro de Simbad de esta servidora.

Caja abierta 111: OSPREY ADVENTURES. Next projects in WIP

More designs and sketches for the project I'm working on now (project of 'OSPREY ADVENTURES'). This design isn't the definitive for the first bug, but it was the first one that I considered as definitive design. It was based in Alien creature, and it seemed too similar to Alien. So I needed to change the design definitive. This first creature was which gave me more work. I did a lot of versions of it. Since this design isn't the definitive, I can show it on my blog. I hope you like it.
Prácticamente el último diseño que puedo enseñar de la primera criatura que había que hacer para el nuevo proyecto en el que estoy embarcada para  OSPREY Adventures. Esta primera criatura o "Bug" es la que más quebraderos de cabeza me dio, porque debía ser parecida a Aliens y que lo recordara, pero a la vez lo suficientemente alejado de este ser tan emblemático que no se pareciese. Vamos un lío, y una línea muy delgada en el límite de las dos opciones. Gracias a las indicaciones que me dieron, conseguimos que la criatura fuese una variación muy curiosa. Dentro del libro hay muchas más criaturas, pero sólo una de ellas debía ser de la misma especie que esta primera criatura. La demás no me dieron tantos quebraderos de cabeza ya que era más libre (cual pajarillo).
Puesto que éste no es un diseño definitivo y final, os lo puedo mostrar en mi blog.
Espero que os guste, aunque no tenga que ver con el producto final XDDD.

The drawing is made with pencil on paper, and the colour picture in digital.
El dibujo está realizado a la manera tradicional, lápiz sobre papel, mientras que el color es el tratamiento digital de este dibujo añadiéndole algunas texturas.

Caja abierta 107: OSPREY ADVENTURES. Next projects in WIP

More first designs and sketches of creatures for the project I'm working on now (project of 'OSPREY ADVENTURES'). These aren't the definitive designs of the first bug, they are the process to reach definitive design. All are based in Alien creature. The definitive design gets away a lot more of this creature. My first sketches not so much. For now I only can show the discarded shetches and designs.
Continúo enseñando algunos de los primeros bocetos y diseños que he hecho para el nuevo proyecto en el que estoy embarcada para  OSPREY Adventures. Todos estos diseños y bocetos eran para llegar al diseño definitivo del primer "prototipo" (como le llamo yo), la criatura básica y principal. El bicho final se aleja bastante de estos diseños y de lo que es el icono de Aliens, no en su esencia. En el proyecto hay varios prototipos más de "bichos", algunos de ellos completamente alejados de lo que conocemos como xenomorfos. Pero en principio sólo os mostraré los diseños descartados.

Por el momento es lo que voy a enseñar de estos diseños. Seguramente os mostraré también los dos diseños o primeras versiones de los dos primeros "bugs" que han sido descartados, y de los cuales he hecho una segunda versión definitiva. Pero seguramente, si puedo, lo próximo que os enseñe son las fotos que tengo del green de la primera miniatura que he hecho para Avatars of War (ya que ésta ya esta a la venta).
